I went to the shore today
to watch the sea perform.
Long ago expectations
panged at my heart,
while I watched the ocean crash against the rocks.
I wondered how many dreams floated upon those waves.
Dreams that somehow could not find enough solid ground
for survival.
And now...another dream is claimed by the sea.
